Fair Lawn police find fugitives, drugs, thousands in cash

CLIFFVIEW PILOT HAS THE SCOOP: A pair of Syracuse men are being held on $100,000 bail each after Fair Lawn police said they found them carrying nearly $8,500 in alleged drug proceeds while using a teenager to sell their heroin and cocaine, CLIFFVIEW PILOT has learned.

Records show Fair Lawn police stopped Pedro Galdon, 47, and 24-year-old Jonathan Perez at Broadway and 17th Street about 3 a.m. Saturday for a traffic violation.

In addition to a small amount of drugs, the officers found bundled money, a law enforcement source with direct knowledge of the incident told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

A check turned up warrants out of Pennsylvania for both, as well as outstanding New Jersey warrants for Galdon, the website has learned.

Both men are charged with drug offenses. Perez is also charged with using a juvenile to sell drugs, while Galdon is charged with money laundering and financial solicitation.

Authorities in Susquehanna County, Pa., have been looking for Galdon and Perez since both skipped bail after they and two other Syracuse men were found carrying drug paraphernalia — and more than $10,000 in cash — during a traffic stop there in March.
