Detective Sgt. Tim O’Shaughnessy and Detectives Paul Donohue and Peter Yuskaitis approached 36-year-old James Snyder’s car in the parking lot of a River Road CVS Friday night after seeing him “discard evidence of recent drug use,” Sgt. Brian Metzler said this morning.

After arresting Snyder, of Carbondale, PA, detectives found a needle and four Oxycontin pills, as well as the heroin bags, which were wrapped together in electrical tape, Metzler said.

Snyder was charged with various drug counts, as well as with being under the influence of heroin, the sergeant said.
