Fair Lawn Pedestrian, 65, Hospitalized With Head Injury After Crash

FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- A 65-year-old Fair Lawn woman who was struck by a sedan while crossing a street in the borough's Radburn section remained hospitalized Wednesday morning with a head injury, authorities told Daily Voice.

The crash occurred in the area upper right.

The victim was taken to St. Joseph's Medical Center in Paterson after the 9:21 p.m. crash on Tuesday, Sgt. Brian Metzler said.

The 77-year-old driver from Florida was making a left from northbound Plaza Road onto westbound Fair Lawn Avenue when his 2014 Mercedes struck the woman, who Metzler said "was crossing outside of the crosswalk."

No charges were filed or summonses issued, he said.
