Officer Geovanny Buitron spotted the car in the parking lot behind Gents Barber Studio on Broadway around 1 a.m. Monday, Sgt. Brian Metzler said.

He arrested the driver, Felix Pena-Aquino, 21, of Islip, and passenger, 20-year-old Abigail Vellon of Commack, after finding the marijuana, Metzler said.

A search turned up the additional drugs in the car and the unloaded pellet gun in Vellon’s purse, he said.

Vellon was ordered held in the Bergen County Jail pending a detention hearing on drug and weapons charges.

Peno-Aquino was released pending a court hearing on various drug charges.
