GLEN ROCK, N.J. -- An elderly driver was hospitalized after SUV slammed head-on into a utility pole Sunday night in Glen Rock.

A paramedic team from The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood assisted Glen Rock EMTs in tending to the woman, who was conscious when she was brought to Hackensack University Center following the Harristown Road crash.

The Toyota was removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck, whose driver also tended to a significant fluid leak.

A PSE&G crew also responded.
