It appeared the driver of a silver-colored Toyota Camry had some type of medical episode and lost control of his vehicle, which mounted a curb, barreled up a lawn and smashed into the Radburn Road home around 2:45 p.m.
Members of Fair Lawn’s Heavy Rescue Team using chain saws were needed to free the man from his vehicle as it became wedged between thick shrubbery. He was taken to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood.
Fair Lawn Fire Company #4 also provided assistance.
The Camry, which had handicapped license plates, was removed from the scene by flatbed tow truck.
There was no apparent structural damage to the house.
