Four students in March reported thefts that ranged from $10 to $445 while left unattended, Police Chief Dean Ackermann said.
"At the recommendation of the police department, the school is addressing security concerns to guard against theft," Ackermann said.
"Whether at a school locker room or a commercial gym, thefts of this type are on the rise throughout the region," the chief noted. "It is recommended that no one leave valuables in an unlocked locker and avoid carrying large amounts of cash to the school or a gym.
"Bring only that amount of money with you that you need for the day."
