Anybody Home? Drunken Glen Rock 'Burglar' Enters Wrong House

GLEN ROCK, N.J. -- The 911 burglary-in-progress call quickly brought Glen Rock police, who found a "highly" intoxicated guest of a neighbor who'd entered the wrong house, authorities said Monday.

The resident told police he'd handle the matter privately.

Officers who took the Upper Saddle River man into custody after the call to Highwood Avenue released him after the resident said he didn't want to pursue the matter with them, Police Chief Dean Ackerman said.

He said "would resolve the issue of any damages with his neighbor and their guest," the chief said.
