FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- Wilma “Laurie” Burgoyne, 78, of Fair Lawn, passed away Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016.
Born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland, she immigrated to the United States in 1955 eventually settling in Fair Lawn 48 years ago.
She was a former member of the Church of Radburn in Fair
Prior to retiring, she was employed as a pharmacy clerk with Schwarz Pharmacy in Union for many years.
She was the mother of Thomas Carney and his wife Marilyn; grandmother of Allison, Kevin and Caitlin Carney; sister of the late John Burgoyne and surviving spouse Senga and the late Jean Dunn and husband Sam; and aunt of Douglas, Elsie, Margaret, Linda, Karen and Kirsteen.
Visitation is planned from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday with a memorial service planned for 7 p.m. at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home Inc., 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers,donations in her memory may be made to the Fair Lawn Volunteer Fire Department Company #4, P.O Box 323, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410.
