Thomas C. Klemm, 81, Of Edison

EDISON, N.J. —Thomas C. Klemm, of Edison, died Wednesday, Aug 3. He was 81.

He was born in Teaneck. He was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University in Rutherford.

He proudly served with the U.S. Army’s 24th Infantry and 1st Cavalry Divisions in Korea. After completion of service, he joined ITT’s Federal Electric Corp in Paramus and began 20 years of contract administration work there, starting in Puerto Rico and ending in Vietnam. After retirement, he served as the customer ambassador at Tiffany and Co. in Short Hills.

He is survived by his daughter, Cathleen Klemm and her husband William Smith; son Christopher Klemm and his wife Sally; grandchildren, Brendan, Bailey and Kyle; and sisters-in-law, Dorothy Klemm and Elizabeth Garrett.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday with a service following at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
