Roy D. Finn, 57, Longtime Glen Rock Resident

GLEN ROCK, N.J. -- Longtime Glen Rock resident Roy D. Finn died Sunday, Feb. 7. He was 57.

Born in Ridgewood, Finn earned an associate's degree in criminal justice from Bergen Community College in Paramus. Prior to retiring, he served 18 years with the Borough of Glen Rock Police Department, where he attained the rank of sergeant.

An outdoorsman, Finn enjoyed fishing but especially time spent with his daughters.

He is survived by his children, Alaina and Colette Finn; mother Jean (Gillmore) Finn; sisters Gail Finn-Cavell and her husband Joe Cavell, and Karen Finn Boehme and her husband Glen Boehme; and niece Kelly Carter.

Finn was predeceased by his father, Chief Neil Finn.

Visiting hours will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11 at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn. A funeral service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
