Natalio P. Mappa, 91, Of Fair Lawn

FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- Natalio P. Mappa, a resident of Fair Lawn, died Saturday, Feb.27. He was 91.

A proud U.S. Army veteran, he served during World War II. 

A faithful parishioner of St. Anne R.C. Church in Fair Lawn, he served as an usher. Prior to retiring in 1982, he was a forklift operator with the Okonite Company in Paterson for 37 years. He also served as a crossing guard with the Borough of Fair Lawn for 25 years.

He is survived by his children Debbie Machacek, Theresa McCarthy, Michael Mappa and the late Philip Mappa and Judy Krupa; his sister Emma Lombardo; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 4-9 p.m. Monday at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn.

A funeral Mass is planned for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anne R.C. Church, 15-05 St. Anne Street, Fair Lawn. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148 would be appreciated.
