FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- Maria Granata, of Fair Lawn, died Friday, Nov. 11. She was 76.
She was born in Sicily, and she came to the United States in 1960, settling in Paterson. She was a parishioner of St. Anthony’s R.C. Church in Paterson. An avid reader, she enjoyed cooking and spending time with family.
She is survived by her husband, Antonio Granata; children, Joseph Granata, Rosanna Granata Palatucci and Mary Granata; grandchildren, Frank, Marina, Anthony, Victoria and Joseph; and siblings, sister of Angelina Princiotta and the late Pietro Caravella.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 3-8 p.m. Monday at the Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn. A funeral Mass is planned for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anne R.C. Church, 15-05 St. Anne St., Fair Lawn. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
