FAIR LAWN, N.J. – Geraldine Doris (Knecht) Washeleski, of Litchfield, N.H., and formerly of Fair Lawn, died Wednesday, Jan. 27. She was 75.
Born in Jersey City, she was raised and lived in Fair Lawn for 38 years and resided in Greer, S.C., for 24 years before moving to New Hampshire nine years ago.
She was a parishioner of Grace Lutheran Church in Nashua, N,H., and a former parishioner of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Greer and Our Savior Lutheran Church in Fair Lawn.
Prior to retiring in 2002, she was an office manager with Benefit Controls in Greenville, S.C., for 18 years.
She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Raymond Washeleski;
She is survived by her children Suzanne Lucibello and her husband, John; and Lynn Plakyda and her husband, Chris; and six grandchildren and her sister of Doris Barabas.
Visitation is Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home Inc., 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn.
A funeral service will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
