Casilda Pardo, 99, Of Glen Rock

GLEN ROCK, N.J. -- Casilda Pardo, a resident of Glen Rock, died Friday, Jan. 29. She was 99.

Born and raised in Pontevedra, Spain, she immigrated to the United States and has resided in Glen Rock since 1977. She was a parishioner of St. Catharine R.C. Church in Glen Rock.

She is survived by her children Casilda María Pardo and husband Al Friedman, Margarita Pardo and husband Bruce E. Thul and Barbara Pardo, all of Albuquerque, N.M., and Cookie Pardo of the family home. She also is survived by her sister Josefina Rioseco Casal of Vigo, Spain; along with her nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Pedro José Pard;, her mother Avelina Pazos; and her son Pedro Luis Pardo.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn.

A funeral Mass is planned for 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Catharine R.C. Church, 905 S. Maple Ave., Glen Rock. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to West Bergen Mental Healthcare, 120 W. Chestnut St., Ridgewood.
