FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- Blanca Nora Grant-Kovacs, 78, of Fair Lawn, died Wednesday, Nov. 25.
Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, she immigrated to the United States in the late 1940s. A woman of strong faith whose patron saint is St. Jude, she was a parishioner of St. Anne R.C. Church in Fair Lawn.
Grant-Kovacs was the loving and devoted mother of Ilona V. Foster and husband Sean, who are expecting her precious granddaughter; beloved daughter of Israel M. and the late Eunice Victoria Mercado; dear sister of Frank Grand; cherished aunt of Blanca Nora Ries, Joseph Grand, Ingrid Pacheco, Desiree Grand-Rodriguez; and by nine loving great-nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial service is planned from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at The Brownstone, 351 W. Broadway, Paterson.
The family would appreciate either flowers to the memorial service or donations in her memory to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
