Anna Richards, 98, Longtime Fair Lawn Resident

FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- Longtime Fair Lawn resident Anna Richards died on Saturday, Jan. 23. She was 98.

She was born to John and Lillian Richards in New York City.

Richards lived in Fair Lawn for 50 years. She was a parishioner of St. Anne Church, in Fair Lawn.

Prior to retiring, Richards was a receptionist with MGM Studios in New York City for 30 years.

She is survived by her children, Betty Young, James Gilronan and Harold Stutey; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Richards was predeceased by her daughter, Margaret Stutey;  and brother John Richards.

Visiting hours will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27, at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, in Fair Lawn. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 28, at St. Anne Church, 15-05 St Anne St., in Fair Lawn. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, in Paramus.
