FAIR LAWN, N.J. — A longtime Fair Lawn resident and dozens of other locals are rallying to protect the beloved Radburn governance.
Don Morris, who has lived in town for 45 years, started an online petition after receiving a letter from state officials proposing a bill that would invalidate the 87-year-old governance structure of Radburn, the petition says.
The neighborhood is governed by an individual, non-profit organization run by current and former trustees.
If passed, the bill would remove the Radburn Association's blind nomination system, eliminate the role of membership, change several aspects of the voting system and more.
