FAIR LAWN, N.J. — It's been almost one year since Fair Lawn's William James Parker II succumbed to suicide at 32 years old.

His memory lives on thanks to his sister, Heather Kost, who is raising money to purchase a Legacy Bench in his name at the Bronx Zoo.

"This will be a beautiful way to honor Will and also support a great foundation that meant a great deal to my brother," Kost wrote. "Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for any donations to come."

Parker, a zoology major, was born in Florida before moving to Ridgewood and then Fair Lawn.

The bench would be near the tiger exhibit, Parker's area of expertise.
