Glen Rock Dad Tired Of Calling New Puppy 'Hey You' Sets Naming Contest

GLEN ROCK, N.J. — A Glen Rock dad is organizing a naming contest for his family's new puppy.

Michael Weinberg of Glen Rock is giving out a $50 Amex gift card to anyone who can name his new puppy.

Michael Weinberg and his family brought the lab-mix home on last week after she was brought to Angels for Animals out of Cliffside Park earlier this month from Puerto Rico.

"Hello, I am the newest member of the Cirque du Weinberg menagerie. I am tired of being called "puppy" and 'hey you,' so I need a name," Weinberg wrote on Facebook.

The contest winner will receive a $50 Amex gift card.

Here are the rules:

Submit unlimited entries until noon on Monday, March 13.
House Weinberg will choose the top 3 names and announce them on Monday (on Facebook).
The family will be able to be influenced until the final winner is announced on Tuesday.

Keep in mind:

"My brothers and sisters are Zack, Alex, Jessie and Leia (humans) and Cody and Callie (canines), so my name probably shouldn't sound too much like theirs."
