Fair Lawn Zumba Class Aids Brothers With Rare Disorder

FAIR LAWN, N.J. — Fair Lawn Zumba-goers are dancing it out on Feb. 20 to benefit two Saddle Brook brothers who are battling a rare and fatal genetic disorder.

Jason, 9, and Justin, 6, of Elmwood Park were diagnosed with the most severe form of Mucopolysaccharidosis 2, Hunter Syndrome, in 2012.

The boys spend a week at UNC Chapel Hill Pediatrics Hospital in North Carolina once a month for painful enzyme replacement therapy procedures.

The 10:30 a.m. master class at Our Savior Lutheran Church is $15 for preregistration and $20 at the door.

The church is located at 1-22 Hartley Place.
