Six-Year-Old Struck By Vehicle: Linden PD A six-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle in Linden on Friday, May 24, authorities said. The girl was struck while crossing W. St. George Avenue, Linden police said in a release. She was transported to Newark University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. No other injuries were reported, police said. W. St. George Avenue was closed westbound at N. Stiles Street for two hours following the crash, police said. The crash remains under investigation by the Linden Police Traffic Bureau.

The "disturbing" video began circulating online sometime after the 7:30 a.m. incident on Thursday, Sept. 13 at the Speedway station on W. St. George Avenue, police said. The footage shows a group of teens brutally beating a boy and spitting in his face as his pleads with them to stop. Linden High On Lockdown After 3 Students Struck By Vehicle Linden High School was in a shelter in place Tuesday morning after a group of students were struck by a car, authorities said. A 14-year-old girl, and two 15-year-old boys were struck at while in a marked crosswalk at the intersection of  W. St. George Avenue and Ainsworth Street by a 2009 Nissan Rogue heading east on W. George Street around 8:50 a.m., Lt. Christopher Guenther said. Special police officers arrived on scene and immediately rendered aid to the victims.
