The man was stopped in a Honda Accord on the shoulder near milepost 54.2 in Bordentown, when a trooper came over to check on him around 10:35 a.m., NJSP Sgt. Philip Curry said. Jersey Shore Woman, 49, Dies In Garden State Parkway Crash A 49-year-old woman died in a crash on the Garden State Parkway Tuesday, March 7, authorities said. Rebecca Goodwin was heading north in a Chevrolet Trailblazer when she struck the left guardrail, ran off the road and down an embankment, overturned and struck multiple trees around 1:05 p.m. in Ocean Township, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Philip Curry said. Goodwin died as a result of the crash. The left lane of the GSP northbound was closed for approximately four hours resulting in moderate traffic congestion. The crash remains under investigation.

Corey Uzzell, 39, of Hillside was riding a Victory motorcycle on Route 80 westbound when it overturned due to a tire blowout near milepost 37.4 just before 11 a.m., NJSP Sgt. Franklin Street Near City Hall In Newark Closed For Construction In December Franklin Street between Mulberry and Broad streets in Newark will be closed beginning Wednesday and through Dec. 23, police said.  The closure is in effect seven days a week and is in place for the Newark parking deck project. The street cuts through a downtown area that includes the post office, city hall and the municipal court.  Those who regularly travel in the area are encouraged to allow extra time and to plan alternate routes.
