Pedestrian Hit By Tractor-Trailer On Route 17
A 47-year-old Bogota man was hospitalized after being struck by a tractor-trailer on southbound Route 17 in Hackensack, authorities said. It was shortly after 11:30 p.m. Monday, May 15, when Hasbrouck Heights police responded to the incident at their border, Lt. John Behr said. They found the pedestrian alert and conscious in a passenger vehicle that was pulled over on the shoulder, the lieutenant said. : Tractor-Trailer Fire Jams NJ Turnpike Rush Into NYC
A tractor-trailer burst into flames on the I-95 approach from the New Jersey Turnpike to the George Washington Bridge, clogging the Tuesday morning rush. The driver got the rig onto the shoulder of the local lanes near mile marker 117, roughly two-tenths of a mile before the Ridgefield Park exit, shortly after 6:30 a.m. May 16. Flames spread along the bottom of the trailer as the driver got out safely. Black smoke could be seen for miles. Ridgefield Park firefighters doused the blaze. No injuries were immediately reported. New Jersey State Police are investigating the cause.

A serious crash closed the westbound lanes of Interstate 80 in Morris County, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 4:30 p.m. near Exit 39 (Route 53) in Denville Township, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation. Four Dead In Fiery Newark Crash With Tractor Trailer
Four people died and one person was left critical in a crash involving two cars and a tractor trailer early Saturday, July 23 in Newark, authorities said. A car appeared to have rear-ended a tractor-trailer then burst into flames, spreading to the other car and the trailer around 4:20 a.m. on Frelinghuysen Avenue near Evergreen Avenue, Interim Newark Public Safety Director Raul Malave said. Woman Pinned By Truck, Killed On Route 1&9
A woman was struck and killed by a tractor trailer early Wednesday in Elizabeth. The incident occurred on Route 1&9 near East Jersey Street around 4:10 a.m., responders told Daily Voice. The victim appeared to have gotten pinned under the truck's tires. She was pronounced dead at the scene. 3 Hurt When Fire Truck, Tractor Trailer Collide In Linden
A firefighter had to be freed from a fire truck after it was involved in a collision in Linden Tuesday morning, police said. The engine was exiting the New Jersey Turnpike at the Wood Avenue emergency road when it was hit by a tractor trailer traveling south on the Turnpike, police said. Two other firefighters were also.
