Appointments Only: Drive-Thru Testing Site Opening In Newark
A new COVID-19 drive-thru testing site is set to open Thursday at Weequahic Park in Newark. Tests will be offered by appointment only to qualifying Essex County residents from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Following its opening day, the site will operate Saturday as well as Monday, Wednesday and Friday of next week, NorthJersey.com reports. Up to 100 tests will be given Thursday and Saturday followed by 150 tests each day next week, and testing will continue as long as test kits and PPE items are available, officials say.
