Pair Killed In Newark Double Shooting, Prosecutor Says A pair of 18-year-old men were killed in a double-shooting in Newark authorities said. Officers responding to the 400 block of Mt. Prospect Avenue found Saeed Jan and Angel Vargas with gunshot wounds around 7:50 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N.
