Details Released In Maplewood Stabbing, Arson A woman recently released from some type of institution is believed to have stabbed herself and set multiple fires in her Maplewood home the morning of Wednesday, Dec. 7, sources with direct knowledge of the incident tell Daily Voice. Responders at the scene on Maplewood Avenue noted some type of hoarding situation, sources said. A spokesperson with the prosecutors office said only that detectives with the major crimes unit were responding and that the incident was not a homicide.

SWAT Situation: Hudson Man Stabbed 24-Year-Old Girlfriend Dead, Prosecutor Says A 22-year-old Weehawken man was charged in the stabbing death of his 24-year-old girlfriend over the weekend, authorities said. Michelle Paola Castillo Siguencia was found lifeless on a bathroom floor of a Hudson Avenue apartment in Weehawken around 6 p.m. Saturday, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Joseph Palacios was identified as a suspect while Weehawken police were on the scene, the prosecutor said. Man, 22, Critical After Self-Inflicted Union County Gun Range Shooting A 22-year-old man who turned the gun on himself over the weekend at a Union County shooting range was in critical condition Monday, authorities said. The man had gone to RTSP on Route 22 with three friends when he fired three shots down the range, then shot himself around 7:20 p.m. Saturday, Union Township Police Director Dan Zieser said. The unidentified victim was taken to University Medical Center in Newark, where he remained in critical condition, Zieser said.
