An Essex County man was sentenced to 375 years behind bars for killing three people and trying to kill three more, who were ultimately saved by first responders, all because of a Facebook comment, authorities said.
Jeremy Arrington, 32, broke into the Whitehurst family home on Hedden Terrace in Newark with a loaded gun in November 2016, and tied up everyone who was inside of the home, authorities said citing arguments from 25 witnesses.

Three gunman were arrested in a series of separate incidents across Newark in just one day, authorities announced.
Among them, Ewing's Deion Brison, 26; Newark's Daniel Molloy, 48; and Irvington's James Mitchell, 23; were arrested on various charges, Newark Public Safety Director Brian A. O’Hara said.

Four Nabbed In Newark Shooting
Four men have been charged in a Newark shooting that injured a city resident in the South Ward earlier this month.
The incident occurred on April 7 on the 200 block of Pomona Avenue around 10:55 p.m., Newark Public Safety Director Brian A. O’Hara said.
The following four men were arrested the following day on charges of aggravated assault, according to O'Hara:
