Carjacker Who Triggered Amber Alert Sought By Newark Cops (Photos) Newark police are attempting to locate the person who carjacked a vehicle with a 3-year-old inside on Tuesday, Oct. 31, triggering an AMBER alert.  At 8:13 a.m., police responded to the 100 block of Wilson Avenue after a 2017 silver-colored Hyundai Sonata was carjacked, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said. As police canvassed the area, the AMBER alert was issued at 9:55 a.m., Fragé said. Newark Woman Facing Mental Health Struggles Has Been Missing For One Month, Police Say Police in Newark are seeking the public's help in locating a woman who has been missing since Feb. 15. Chloe Ferrel, 38, who is diagnosed with Schizophrenia, depression, and bipolar disorder, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said. She was last seen in the 200 block of West Runyon Street wearing a gray coat and slippers. Pair Wanted For Using Stolen Car In Newark Shooting: Police Authorities in Newark are seeking two women in connection with a stolen car used in a September shooting, they said. The fingerprints of Quanazia Bennett, 21, of Newark, and Kelly Devereaux, 24, of Bloomfield, were recovered from the car used in the Sept. 20 incident at 18th Avenue and Hunterdon Street around midnight, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said. A warrant was issued for their arrest on Oct. 6. Bennett, a Black female, is 5’3” and 128 pounds with brown eyes, black hair, and a dark complexion.
