Armed Robber Makes Off With $10K On Black Friday In Newark Authorities in Newark are seeking the assailant who robbed a check-cashing business of $10,000 at gunpoint. The robber pointed a handgun at two workers at Global Check Cashing on Bloomfield Avenue in Newark on Friday, Nov. 25, took the cash and then fled north on Garside Avenue on a silver/purple mountain bike, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said. The suspect is described as possibly Hispanic, 5'8" tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a black jacket, face mask, green pants, and black sneakers. Missing Newark Boy Found Unharmed An 11-year-old Newark boy has been found unharmed. ORIGINAL STORY: The Dr. E. Alma Flagg Elementary School student was last seen around 10 p.m. on the 100 block of Parker Street Tuesday.  He is 5’9,’’ weighs 98 pounds, and has brown eyes, brown hair, and a light brown complexion. He was wearing a black coat, light green basketball shorts, a purple shirt, and black sneakers. Newark PD Looking For Person Who Burglarized Ironbound Business Newark police released surveillance video images (attached) of a suspect in a burglary at an Ironbound business Sunday.  Police say a male entered 142 Lafayette St. and stole a laptop and cash.  Anyone with information is asked to call the police division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
