Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Car In Linden: Police
A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle in Linden on Monday, Oct. 2 authorities said. The victim, who has not been identified, was crossing E. St. George Avenue from the Roselle Street side when he was struck by an SUV traveling eastbound, Linden police said. The victim was transported to Trinitas Regional Medical Center in critical condition and was later pronounced deceased, police said. A 30-year-old pedestrian from Passaic was struck and critically injured on Route 21, authorities confirmed. A vehicle driven by a 58-year-old motorist from Union City hit him on the northbound highway near Exit 10 around 11 a.m., city police said. Pedestrian, 25, Struck By Car In Sussex County: State Police
A pedestrian was struck by a car in Sussex County Monday afternoon, state police said. A 25-year-old was hit by a Hyundai Kona on Route 206 S. at the entrance to the shopping center in front of the McDonald’s in Hampton Township just before 1 p.m., NJSP Sgt. Alejandro Goez told DailyVoice.com. The woman was taken to Newton Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, Goez said. Pedestrian Struck, Killed In Cranford Crash
A pedestrian was struck and killed in an early-morning crash Tuesday in Cranford, authorities said. The pedestrian was crossing Springfield Avenue when they were struck by a 51-year-old Kenilworth man heading south and approaching Orange Avenue, in a 2006 Hyundai Sonata, local police said. The victim was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, where they later died. The Hyundai driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police. Pedestrian, 49, Struck In Englewood
A 49-year-old pedestrian was hospitalized after she was struck Tuesday by an SUV in Englewood. The victim was crossing East Palisade Avenue off Jones Road when she was struck by a Nissan Rogue driven by a 70-year-old woman around 9 a.m., Deputy Police Chief Gregory Halstead said. The driver had been turning from Jones Road headed east on Palisades Avenue, he said. The victim was taken to Englewood Hospital and Medical Center with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening, the deputy chief said. Police were investigating, he said.

Pedestrian Seriously Injured Near Accident Scene In Totowa
A pedestrian was hospitalized with what responders said they believed were life-threatening injuries after she was struck by a car Thursday night in Totowa while a police officer was investigating a nearby crash that occurred moments earlier. The freak accident occurred in front of the Delta gas station on Union Boulevard and Boyle Avenue around 5 p.m. The officer was writing his report when the woman was hit. The Totowa First Aid Squad took her to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center. The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office responded along with borough police and EMS.
