Khalil Cuttino, of Phillipsburg, had been wanted for aggravated assault on police officers in connection with the Friday, April 12 incident, and was taken into custody on Sunday, April 14, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Newark Prisoner Captured After Escape A 28-year-old inmate at the Essex County Jail is back in custody after a brief escape. Makena Farrell escaped from custody at  480 Clinton Ave., around 2:25 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, police said. Farrell led a brief foot pursuit and was ultimately captured at Van Vechten Street, authorities said.  Farrell was initially arrested on Thursday, Sept. 14 in the 900 block of Frelinghuysen Avenue for drug-related charges, police said. she is now facing charges of escape, eluding, obstruction of the administration of the law, and burglary.
