Brucely Bertin, of Union, was heading southbound in a stolen 2009 Nissan Altima when he lost control and hit the pole at North Wood Avenue and Gesner Street around 3 a.m., Linden police said. One of Bertin's passengers, a 16-year-old girl, was ejected and seriously injured, and taken to University Hospital, according to police.
