Elizabeth Woman Ejected, Killed In South Jersey Turnpike Crash: Police
A 45-year-old woman was killed when she was ejected from a vehicle she was riding in, in a crash on the New Jersey Turnpike Tuesday morning, Feb. 13, authorities said.
Troopers responded to the crash at 7:15 a.m. on the southbound side of the highway in Westampton, where the driver of a Chevrolet lost directional control, ran off the roadway to the right, traveled down an embankment and subsequently overturned, Trooper Troy McNair said.
Angela Claros Antonio, of Elizabeth, was ejected near milepost 42.1, and died, McNair said.

A Burger King employee was stabbed and then hit by an SUV driven by her assailant at a New Jersey Turnpike rest stop, said authorities who charged a Trenton man with her murder.
Jamyra C. Odom, 22, of Trenton had just finished her shift when Dandre L. McDaniels Jr., 23, ambushed her at the Woodrow Wilson Service Area in Hamilton Township shortly after 3 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, the State Police said.

Driver Who Sped Away From Trooper Crashes, Suffers Serious Injuries On NJ Turnpike (Update)
A 49-year-old man from New York who was stopped in the shoulder of the New Jersey Turnpike was seriously injured when he suddenly sped away from the trooper checking on him, hitting another vehicle Sunday morning, May 14, authorities said.
The man was stopped in a Honda Accord on the shoulder near milepost 54.2 in Bordentown, when a trooper came over to check on him around 10:35 a.m., NJSP Sgt. Philip Curry said.
Suddenly, the Accord sped off, crossing from the outer roadway to the inner roadway, striking the passenger side of a Honda Odyssey, police said.
