Fugitive Arrested In Secaucus: Police
A 45-year-old Brooklyn resident was arrested on Friday, Sept. 15 in Secaucus after it was discovered there were multiple warrants out for his arrest, authorities said. At 5:25 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Kevin Dadaille was discovered to have a outstanding warrants out of Middlesex County, Pohatcong and in Connecticut, Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said. Dadaille had been been charged with two counts of larceny in Enfield, Conn. in May. Nearly a dozen jitney passengers survived a wild ride after their 71-year-old driver first pulled over for police in Fairview, then hit the gas and sped from the stop. : Paterson Man Wanted On Haledon Warrant Nabbed By Sheriff's Officers, Then Released
A Paterson man wanted on an outstanding warrant was busted by Passaic County sheriff’s officers only to be released a short time later under New Jersey’s bail reform law. Khalif Johnson, 21, tried to flee a stop on Hamburg Turnpike near Ratzer Road in Wayne around 10 a.m. Monday, April 11, but officers seized him following a brief struggle, Passaic County Sheriff Richard H. Berdnik said. They charged Johnson with resisting arrest and issued several motor vehicle summonses before turning him over to Haledon police, who released him pending further court action, the sheriff said.

An Upper Saddle River motorist was drunk when he drove into oncoming traffic and onto a Ridgewood sidewalk, knocking over parking signs, before his SUV slammed into another vehicle several blocks away, authorities said. A speeding Morris County driver who ran from a traffic stop was flushed from a nearby brook by Rochelle Park police before dawn Thursday, authorities said. Tajay Turner, 25, of Rockaway at first tried to elude Officer Chris Kiszka on Rochelle Avenue in his Honda Accord but eventually pulled over on West Passaic Street shortly after midnight, Detective Lt. Jersey Shore Driver Stopped By Garfield PD Jumps Into Passaic River
A Jersey Shore man stopped by a Garfield police officer on Friday hopped out of his car and into the Passaic River, authorities said. Officer Jaroslaw Wdowiak stopped the 46-year-old driver from Toms River in the parking lot of the Custom Gas Station at the intersection of River Drive and DeWitt Street shortly after 12:30 p.m. Wdowiak was returning to his cruiser to write summonses when the driver suddenly got out, dashed around a fence and clambered down the riverbank and into the water, Deputy Police Chief Ronald Polonkay said.
