Authorities Seek Shooter Who Killed Newark Man, 30 Authorities are seeking the shooter who killed a 30-year-old Newark man last Friday. Michael Wyche was shot near 72 Hayest St., around 1:25 p.m., Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephen, II, and Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose said. He was taken to University Hospital and pronounced dead less than 30 minutes later.
