Newark Motorcyclist Dead In I-280 Crash A 33-year-old motorcyclist was killed after his bike overturned in on I-280 in Roseland, authorities said. Charles L. Henderson III was headed westbound when his Harley Davidson overturned, ejecting him near milepost 5.4 in around 2:40 p.m. Friday, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Lawrence Peele said. Henderson was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Drunk Driver Pleads Guilty In Rear-End Newark Crash That Killed Teen A 39-year-old Newark man pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide for killing another motorist earlier this year, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said Monday.  Gustavo Palomo was under the influence of alcohol March 17 when he slammed his pickup truck at a high rate of speed into the back of a vehicle that was stopped for a red light at First Street and the I-280 exit ramp. Palomo left the scene but was quickly caught.  Jaleel McCauley, 19, suffered serious injuries in the crash. Report: 7 Hospitalized In Multi-Vehicle West Orange Highway Crash Seven people were hospitalized with non life-threatening injuries following a multi-vehicle crash on I-280 in West Orange Monday evening. The accident occurred just after 6 p.m. near Exit 10 eastbound and involved at least 12 vehicles, including a flatbed tractor-trailer hauling bags of cement, ABC7 reports.  The truck's cab was separated from the trailer that had crashed into the median. The right lane eastbound had been reopened as of 8:30 p.m. New Jersey State Police were investigating the incident.
