Old Navy Employee Struck, Killed By Car In Jersey City 'Never Missed A Day' A 36-year-old Jersey City man was struck and killed by a car Wednesday night in Jersey City, authorities said. Phillip Delancy was rushed to Jersey City Medical Center after being struck at 740 Route 440 around 9:30 p.m. Nov. 3, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. The vehicle that struck Delancy fled the scene, Suarez said. Delancy was pronounced dead at approximately 10:25 p.m. The cause and manner of death are pending an investigation by the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office. 2 Fighting For Life, 2 Moderately Hurt In Kearny Crash Two people were seriously injured and two were moderately hurt in a Kearny crash Tuesday morning, authorities said. A 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer struck a disabled tractor trailer just after 4 a.m. near Route 7 and Harrison Avenue, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. The 21-year-old driver, a Garfield man, and a second rear passenger, a 20-year-old male, are listed in stable condition. A 19-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries, Suarez said.
