Gas Leak Forces Evacuation Of Bergen Neighborhood Amid Bitter Cold
Well over a dozen homes in Teaneck were evacuated in frigid temperatures following a dangerous gas leak. Alerted by a resident, a PSE&G crew found high natural gas readings coming from the area of a home on Larch Avenue between North Street and Kenwood Place shortly before 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 21, Teaneck Police Lt. Kevin Brennan said. “The readings were at levels that warranted an evacuation of all residences within 330 feet,” the lieutenant said. Woman Hospitalized Following Morris County Gas Leak (

A woman was hospitalized following a gas leak in Morris County, authorities said. According to Long Hill Township Police Lt. James Marczewski, the woman accidentally turned on the gas stove without igniting the burner at a home on Sunrise Drive shortly before 10:50 a.m. on Friday, May 20. The woman’s mother called 911 when she smelled gas and saw her daughter showing signs of an altered mental status, Lt. Marczewski told DailyVoice.com. The woman was then taken to Morristown Medical Center for further treatment.

Two women were airlifted to area hospitals and at least four dogs were missing following an explosion in Vineland Wednesday, multiple news outlets were reporting. A bad crash at an even worse South Jersey intersection has drivers fuming. One person was trapped inside a car in an accident at the intersection of Corkery Lane and Blackhorse Pike in Williamstown on Monday morning, according to the local fire department. Glen Rock Homes Temporarily Evacuated, Roads Closed After Work Crew Ruptures Gas Main
Two dozen residents in the immediate area had to leave their homes after a Glen Rock DPW crew ruptured a gas line while doing work on a sidewalk ramp Wednesday morning. A gas leak at a construction site temporarily closed eastbound Route 4 in Fair Lawn Tuesday morning. A contractor hit a gas mean at a building under construction between East and West Amsterdam avenues, the former site of the Spivak Lighting building, around 9:30 a.m., Sgt. Brian Metzler said.
