Micah Gasin was visiting his grandparents in Verona when he and his grandfather were killed by a falling tree on Monday, April 29, while they were lying in a hammock. Six Displaced, One Injured In Jersey City Fire: Authorities One person was injured and six people were displaced following an apartment fire in Jersey City on the afternoon of Monday, April 15, authorities said. Firefighters arrived at 290 Webster Ave and found a working fire in an apartment on the third floor, which caused extensive damage, Kimberly Wallace-Scalfione, a spokeswoman for the mayor's office said. Six adults were relocated by the Red Cross, Wallace-Scalfione said. One woman in a basement apartment was treated and transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation, Wallace-Scalfione said. Residents Displaced By Four-Alarm Jersey City Fire See Community Support Three homes were damaged and 17 people were displaced following a four-alarm fire in Jersey City on Wednesday, April 5. Now the community wants to help. Two fundraisers have been launched on GoFundMe to assist people displaced by the blaze.
