Authorities ID Bicyclist Killed In East Orange Crash Authorities have identified the bicyclist struck and killed by multiple vehicles in East Orange last week. Steven B. Allen, Jr., 26, of Orange, was riding on Freeway Drive and Evergreen Place when he was hit by several cars around 2 p.m., last Wednesday, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, and East Orange Police Director Dominick Saldida said. Allen was pronounced dead at the scene.  The investigation remains active and ongoing and no charges were been filed against the drivers. Know This CAR? Police Seek Help Solving 2006 Fatal Newark Hit-Run Authorities are seeking the public’s help solving a fatal hit-and-run cold case in Newark. Police say Carey Suitt was struck and killed by a hit-and-run-driver on Freeway Drive East and South Center Street in Orange on Oct. 5, 2006. The suspect, who was driving a black 2005 GMC Envoy, fled on Hickory Street following the crash, according to witnesses.
