East Orange Teen Fatally Shot: Prosecutors An 18-year-old East Orange resident was fatally shot on Monday, July 3 authorities said. At 6:55 p.m., police were notified Nicholas Edwards was transported to CareWell Health Medical Center in East Orange after suffering a gunshot wound, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. $5,000 Reward Offered For Info In Deadly Newark Hit-Run The Essex County Sheriff's Crime Stoppers Program is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the person responsible for a fatal hit and run last month in Newark. Kenneth Felton, 55, of Newark was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle on Madison Avenue between South 11th and 12 streets, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, said. $10,000 Reward Offered In Newark Killing Of Bergen County Woman, 18 Authorities are offering a $10,000 reward for the killing of an 18-year-old Bergen County girl in Newark. McKayla Perri, of Lyndhurst, was shot on Broad Street near 3rd Avenue in Newark Saturday evening, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II said.
