Drive-In Movies Coming To Walmart Parking Lots
Movies at Walmart aren't only on the shelves these days -- they'll soon be on big screens in select parking lots. The chain is teaming up with Tribeca to offer drive-in theaters in 160 of its lots starting in August. In a separate, star=studded endeavor, the retail giant is creating a "virtual" summer camp for children cooped up by cabin fever because of the coronavirus. Get Your Tickets: Bergen County Drive-In Theater Announces First Wave Of Showtimes
Drive right up -- the silver screen is back in Bergen County. 6ft. Cinemas, one of the drive-in theaters coming to the area, has announced its first wave of showtimes and made tickets available. "Up" will begin at 6 p.m., and "Spaceballs" will begin at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, June 26 at the Rockleigh Country Club. Each $50 ticket includes parking and a $20 food credit to be used at the event. Will The Show Go On? Fate Of Demarest Farms Drive-In Movie Theater Uncertain
The fate of the drive-in theater promised at Demarest Farms next month is uncertain, as Hillsdale officials maintain the farm's owner did not take the proper steps in filing for approval of the theater. Farm owner Jason Degise planned the sold-out summer series in mid-May as a result of a COVID-19 pandemic, and under the assumption it was covered by the agricultural management plan (AMP) guidelines, he said. Drive-In Theaters Announce Bergen County Showtimes
Two new drive-in theaters are coming to Bergen County. Beginning June 10, Demarest Farms in Hillsdale will be showing movies every Wednesday through Saturday night. The last showing is Aug. 29.
