Newark Jumper Hospitalized After Leap From Building A man who jumped from the window of a Newark building was taken to the hospital with a leg injury Tuesday, authorities said. Police responded to Dickerson and 3rd streets after a 9-1-1 caller said the man had leapt from a third floor window, a spokeswoman for the Newark Police Department said. The man was lying on the sidewalk with a leg injury, and taken to University Hospital for treatment. This incident is under investigation.

Seen HIM? Newark Police Seek Shooting Suspect A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a 23-year-old man connected to a shooting that injured one person in Newark last month, authorities said. A man who was shot on the 100 block of Dickerson Street was treated at University Hospital following the 7:45 p.m. incident July 6, Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose said. Eduardo Rodriguez was identified as a suspect, and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and conspiracy, Ambrose said.
