Shots Fired Into Vehicle In Montclair: Police Gunshots were fired in Montclair on the early evening of Monday, June 10, authorities said. At 6:46 p.m., officers responded to New Street and Mission Street after multiple callers reported hearing five to six gunshots, Montclair police said. Police did not locate any victims and area hospitals did not report any walk-in victims of gunshot wounds, officers said. The next day, officers located a Chevy Cobalt parked on New Street with a bullet hole in the passenger side front door, police said. Bayonne PD: Loaded Handgun, Ecstasy Seized From Staten Island Man In Routine Traffic Stop A Staten Island man was found with a fully-loaded handgun as well as ecstasy, other drugs and bogus bank cards during a Monday night traffic stop in Bayonne, police said. Steven Polanco, 26, was stopped for a violation near Andrew Street and JFK Boulevard shortly before 10 p.m., Bayonne Police Capt. Eric Amato said. Officers approached Polanco’s Chevy Cobalt and “immediately” identified a strong odor of marijuana, police said.
