Pair Carjacked In Newark By Trio Selling Phone Online
Police in Newark are seeking the public's help locating a vehicle that was carjacked out of the Central Ward Tuesday. A driver and passenger pulled up to the 200 block of West Kinney Street to buy a cell phone from a male online seller when they were assaulted by the man and two others around 8:50 p.m., Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose said. The three individuals got into the victims' white 4-door 2013 BMW 328is and drove away, heading westbound on West Kinney Street, Ambrose said.
