Body Of Belleville Man Recovered From Waterfall In Nutley The body of a 57-year-old Belleville man was recovered from under a waterfall in Nutley, according to police. A witness called police to report the body under Third River along Kingsland Street on Friday, Dec. 2, Nutley Police Director Alphonse Petracco and Chief Thomas Strumolo said. The man's body was identified after a recovery effort. His body was taken to the Essex County Medical Examiner's Office. CPR was apparently being performed on the driver of a passenger car as of 8:50 a.m., unconfirmed reports say. Belleville Native Susan Fairchild, 49, Dies After 2nd Cancer Battle The Phillipsburg community is mourning the death of a first-grade teacher and mother of three Susan Fairchild on Aug. 23 after two cancer battles. Fairchild, 49, had worked as a first-grade teacher in the Phillipsburg Primary School district for 22 years, Superintendent Gregory Troxwell said in a statement.  A native of Belleville, Fairchild was raised in Forks Township, PA, and lived in Easton at the time of her death, her obituary says.
