City authorities on Wednesday announced that Hassan S. Shoulars, 26, was charged with conspiracy to commit murder in connection with the shooting of Avent Holston,  Holston was fatally shot last Oct. 28, on the 300 block of West Kinney Street, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Newark Man, 27, Shot And Killed Monday Evening The Essex County Prosecutor's Office is investigating the killing of a Newark man Monday.  Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 300 block of West Kinney street around 7 p.m. Police found Avent Holston, 27, who was pronounced dead at the scene around 7:41 p.m.  “This is another example of a senseless loss of life due to the prevalence of illegal guns on our streets,” Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose said.
