Man Killed In West New York Apartment Fire: Prosecutors A 55-year-old man was killed in an apartment fire in West New York on Sunday, August 20, authorities said. At 5 a.m.  North Hudson Regional Fire and Rescue was notified of a fire at an apartment above 6213 Bergenline Avenue, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Upon arrival, first responders found heavy smoke coming from a bedroom within the apartment, Suarez said.  While firefighters were battling the blaze, they found Adrian Hernandez-Bienes unresponsive in the bedroom, Suarez said.
