Police responding to a report of a robbery on Pacific Street located a victim who stated that he had been assaulted and held at gunpoint by two suspects who took his wallet and fled in a white Toyota 4 Runner around 4 p.m. Monday, Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Street Closures Announced For Newark North Ward Tree-Lighting Ceremony A parade and tree lighting is scheduled in Newark's North Ward Friday, police said.  The events, sponsored by North Ward Councilman Anibal Ramos, will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., although streets will be closed down several hours before the festivities begin.  The parade  will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Verona and Summer avenues.
